The Golden Ale you’ve been waiting for, release date 1st March 2024

Brewed with Eureka, El Dorado and Harlequin hops you can expect a punchy tropical aroma with apricot notes and a smooth malt backbone. At 4.5% it’s on the right side of sessionable plus it’s a great match with a lemon tart or honey-glazed chicken.

This is a limited edition beer available in cask only so if you’re wanting to give it a try, get in there quick as once it’s gone it’s gone. If you love it so much you don’t want to let it go, tell us! We value all feedback and you never know, perhaps it’ll make its way into the brew schedule again.

Pouring at Renegade Taproom from Friday 1st March. Trade friends please email sales@renegadebrewery.co.uk or speak to your friendly neighbourhood rep for more info.

So what’s with the name?

Mad as a March hare is an old English phrase referring to the antics of hares during March. The male hares ‘jacks’ and the female hares ‘jills’ (see what we did there?) can often be seen boxing and chasing each other in the daytime; which is rare as they’re normally nocturnal animals. If you want to catch them in action, you’re best to head to open grasslands or arable fields at either dusk or dawn.
